Job Purpose:
The Business Analyst Level 4 will support in coordinating agency, DTMB, and vendor efforts to adhere to the Client's Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) practices and policies. This role is crucial in leading project teams through the Michigan Security Accreditation Process (MiSAP) to ensure secure and compliant IT infrastructure and systems. The position will also involve providing training and assistance with compliance activities for IT systems, websites, and applications, including disaster recovery, incident response, and business continuity planning.

- Lead project teams through MiSAP, ensuring that all stages (data classification, system security plan, risk assessment, control tasks, POAM) are successfully completed to achieve Authority to Operate (ATO).
- Ensure compliance with security standards including NIST, PCI, HIPPA, FERPA by providing audit evidence and supporting security audits.
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure audit credibility and compliance for various IT systems and applications.
Documentation & Process Development:
- Assist in creating and maintaining project documentation, including system security plans, risk assessments, vulnerability scanning requests, and compliance records.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans (DRPs), business continuity plans (BCPs), and incident response plans (IRPs).
- Prepare and present oral and written reports on work assignments to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with objectives and compliance requirements.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with auditors, project managers, analysts, vendors, development resources, and business partners to facilitate and ensure compliance activities are met.
- Serve as a liaison between business and IT areas, ensuring effective communication and understanding of project goals, processes, and compliance standards.
Training & Interpretation of Standards:
- Provide training and interpretation of GRC frameworks, regulations, laws, and tools for stakeholders to ensure consistent application and understanding.
- Support stakeholders in navigating compliance criteria, making sure their systems and processes align with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis roles, supporting software development projects.
- 5+ years of experience with complex IT web applications.
- Proven ability to lead meetings, provide oral and written reports, and present findings.
- 5+ years of experience with MS Office to create project documentation.
- 5+ years of experience working as a liaison between business and IT areas.
- Knowledge and understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Highly Desired Skills:
- Experience creating supporting documentation for IT system audits.
- Familiarity with the creation of Disaster Recovery Plans, Business Continuity Plans, and Incident Response Plans.
- Experience providing audit evidence to comply with security standards such as NIST, PCI, HIPAA, and FERPA.
